Available Positions:
The India Program Associate will be in charge of producing technical written and visual content/designs that support larger portions of GDCI’s work in select international cities, publication or booklet development, training or workshops, and other program-related activities. Working closely with the full GDCI team, the Program Associate will report directly to the Senior Program Manager, with close collaboration with various project and country leads. Primary activities for this role will fall under the categories of technical support, project administration, and program support. Experience in urban design, transportation planning, street design, and/or public space design is a plus.

The Vietnam Local Liaison will work under GDCI’s road safety program, funded by the Bloomberg Philanthropies Initiative for Global Road Safety (BIGRS). Specifically, this role will strengthen our on-the-ground technical assistance and local relationships to help advance the BIGRS program in two cities: Hanoi and Da Nang. You will represent NACTO-GDCI in city government meetings, presentations, and capacity-building sessions, during on-the-ground project implementations, and with the local communities. You will be based in Hanoi or Da Nang, but travel between both cities as needed. You will do this work under the direction of NACTO-GDCI’s India Country Lead, and with the support from BIGRS embedded staff. Candidates must be fluent in Vietnamese and English and be versed in the cultural context and local policies and practices concerning city and national transportation, street design, and road safety.
