Leadership Accelerator 2025: Watch the Webinar Recording!
At the beginning of February 2025, GDCI launched a new round of the Streets for Kids Leadership Accelerator, inviting cities from Brazil, Colombia, and Ecuador to apply for the two-months-long online capacity-building program to build their knowledge, expand their local partnerships and scale up projects, processes, policies, and programs to achieve an even greater impact on the lives of kids in their cities.
On February 13, 2025, the Streets for Kids team held a Q&A webinar to provide an overview of the program, explain the application process, and invite participants to ask questions. The webinar recording is now available in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
How to Implement Cycling Infrastructure webinar series
In September 2026, GDCI will launch a series of open and global webinar sessions on How to Implement Cycling Infrastructure—our latest practice-oriented publication. The series will explore key concepts from the handbook, share practical tips, and feature real-world examples that demonstrate how cities are working to increase cycling through infrastructure design.
This informational session offers a brief overview of the Bloomberg Initiative for Cycling Infrastructure (BICI), a global program helping cities rethink their streets through safer, more connected cycling infrastructure, answers questions and provides guidance on submitting a strong application.
In March 2026, GDCI launched a series of open and global webinar sessions on Designing for Safe Speeds —our latest supplement to the award-winning Global Street Design Guide. The series explored key principles from the guide, practical design strategies, and real-world examples that demonstrate how cities are managing speeds and saving lives.
