The United States Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) published the original Air Sensor Guidebook in 2014 to help those interested in using sensors to collect air quality measurements and interpret sensor data. The refreshed version, The Enhanced Air Sensor Guidebook, includes updated content and new topics that incorporate best practices, current knowledge, and recommendations on sensors.

A decade of opportunities”, aims to help boost the recovery of the region after the crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. In this sense, collective measures must be taken to build -among other needs- stronger and healthier societies. The reduction of mortality caused by traffic is therefore imperative to contribute to the achievement of the objectives set.

Pop-Up to Permanent: Delivering Lasting Impacts from Pilot Projects
To help city staff transition from pandemic response to recovery, this workshop examines how to evaluate which temporary pop-ups should be converted to permanent projects. Panelists discuss an equity-centered approach to exploring metrics used to evaluate and prioritize projects, as well as frameworks to help consider and decide which projects to take from pop-up to permanent.

In this session, NACTO and GDCI staff overview the technical guidance in NACTO’s City Limits and upcoming Safe Speeds design guide, and walk through its applications on sample streets.

Reviving Waterfront Streets: Lessons from Toronto and Auckland
In this edition of our webinar series, we heard from Pina Mallozzi, Vice President of Design at Waterfront Toronto, about her work on the revitalization of Queens Quay and other high profile projects along Toronto's waterfronts. We also watched a video presentation by Panuku Development Auckland, the council-controlled organization that delivers urban regeneration in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland).
